Ride 4 a Woman Update, May 2025

Our solar power installation at the Ride 4 a Woman Community Center continues to have a profound impact on the Buhoma community. Thanks to renewable solar energy, installed by GivePower, Ride 4 a Woman has experienced:

Zero Power Outages

Expanded Employment and Microfinance 

New Skill-Building

Housing and School Development

Increased Education Scholarships

Here is the update I shared with the GoodLeap team back in May.

GoodLeap is the generous donor that covers all of GivePower’s administrative costs, which means that every penny donated to GivePower goes to a project in the field. The GoodLeap team initially formed the Impact Squad to support the Ride 4 a Woman project. The Impact Squad is a group of employees who voluntarily contribute a payroll deduction to fund GivePower projects. Since its formation, the GoodLeap ImpactSquad has continued to fund meaningful and vital work through additional GivePower projects. The Impact Squad and its ongoing work are another example of meaningful impact resulting from our work with Ride 4 a Woman.
